Afternoon folks,
Looking for some advice really, I currently have MIG 180 from R Tech and I am really pleased with it and the results I have been getting with it.
However, I am keen to learn TIG, not because I really need it at the moment but because I want to learn the skill.
My question is this, I have seen from doubleboost's videos that my machine will do scratch start (lift arc) TIG but would I see superior results and have an easier time learning with a dedicated unit? Also the MIG 180 isn't said to do scratch start on their website but obviously it does, is there a reason for this?
Cheers.
