Hi - new here and new to welding so looking for some help - this seems like the place to find it
Sorry daughter hit keyboard and submited this I'm still typing so will be editing for a few mniutes
edit- right I ordered a sip and then thought I'd look around for tips and came across all the hateing, loathing and naysaying about them. SO in a rage, I rang the shop I ordered it from and put a stop on it. It may still arrive tommorow but they agree to me sending it back by refusing to accept the parcel and exchanging for another machine (i think) BUT what should I go for????
Hers why I chose it....
1. Low power setting 25a
2. high power setting 150a
3. gas/gasless
4. 218 inc vat
5. Ive heard of the make (think i saw them in halfrauds)
What would be a better alternative without sacraficing the low amp operation? I will be welding thin car panels mainly but would realy like some functionality with thicker bits now and then and can't rule out wanting to a bit of aluminium at some point - this machine should have done all that but people say the feed is no good...all the posts are quite old and one said the latest ones came with a metal part instead of plastic so is it ok now - should i keep it? I well confused...help please
