I bought a 1 year old Miller Dynasty from Miller UK via my local welding rep for £1800. (A new Miller footsie was £50 extra)
It still had 2 years warranty to go and it gets used most days.
I also use it on site but it does need a h/d extension lead if using 4mm MMA rods from 1 ph.
It runs from 415v, 240v, or 110v, which is handy.
Needn't have worried about the guarantee as I've now had it 7 years and it's never missed a beat.
You can keep your cheep *****. I'd buy another USA machine tomorrow, but I probably won't have too.
It's only downside is it's weight. I had to carry it to the top floor of a block of flats once (should have doubled the quote)
but as "Roger the Welding Rep" (if you'll pardon the expression) said, "There's no substitute for copper".
