I've done a fair bit of painting over the years but I'm very much an amateur, I have painted solid and metallic colours before with good results.
Soon though I'm planning on a respray of my golf in its original colour Capri green met (LA6U) but would like to add a bit more metallic flake to make it a little different.
I've found some decent green hologram flake and was planning on adding this to the first coat of lacquer, then finishing with 4-5 more coats of lacquer.
Is this the right way to do it?
Is there a trick to getting the flake uniform and laying flat?
How much flake should I add to a litre of lacquer?
I have an old wing which I was going to play about on and practice first, so any pointers would be greatly recieved.
