Looking again at that Everlast PowerARC 140ST, there doesn't seem to be any provision to fit a foot pedal or a variable control torch even if you could find one.
It's lift start which if I'm correct means you touch down then as you lift the tungsten from the workpiece the arc starts.
There's no bells and whistles on it like slope up/down either, it's just simply set the desired amps on the LED display then off you go.
Edit: The Powerarc 160STH will take a foot pedal, comes supplied with a regulator and flowmeter and tbh, isn't hugely more expensive.
I've also just noticed they offer a 5 year warranty too!
