Hi there!!
Just bought a Sealey Mightymig 150 and put a 13A plug on. I switched the unit on and blipped the torch several times; seems OK. Then I noticed that the instruction leaflet says that if no plug is fitted from the factory then the welder needs a larger supply.
The welder is rated at 4.5KW which is well above what a standard socket will take. I can install a blue 16A round pin supply but I'm only doing jobs now and again, so the does anyone have one of these running off a 13A plug with a 13A fuse fitted? Are there any issues?
Cheers,
Steve.
