Hi,
I've just got my first welder, second-hand off a mate, and am keen to learn how to use it
It's a SIP Migmate 130.
The problem I'm having is that the wire feed seems to back up as it enters the liner, and then won't feed properly.
I end up with a loop inside the machine, between the rollers and the torch lead.
I've tried to take a picture to show, you can just see the loop forming at the top:
Can anyone help with what I've done wrong. I've cut the wire and refed it, it seemed to be feeding fine, but when I tried to weld with it, it happened again quickly.
Would changing the liner help? The article on here looks to recommend a steel liner, where can I get one from?
Thanks for any help
Russ
