Morning all
I am looking for some help on my parents 2012 Vauxhall Insignia Hatchback please.
Last weekend they said that the passenger side rear door would not open from the inside or outside, so I went there one evening this week to take a look.
My Dad and I went to the garage, unlocked the car and I was able to open the rear door with no issues. Now wait, it does not end that well, we then opened and closed it a few times, all good, locked and unlocked, now it will not open again.
You can hear the central locking and the button moves up and down on the door, but it will not open.
To make things worse, I spoke to my Dad this morning after wishing my Mum a Happy Mothers Day and he told me that the front passenger door is now doing the same.
My parents are both in their 80’s, so being in the front passenger seat, when the door will not open, could be a problem.
Does the colllective think this points to an electrical fault that is common to both doors, or something individual? I remembered this morning that I have a code reader that I can try to read faults, and will do this on Tuesday when I can stop there.
Any other thoughts on what to check or look for would be much appreciated.
