Hello, I have a 20hp Kubota in my boat, which starts and runs fine for the three years that we've had it, but is getting on a bit at 34 years. I've no idea of the hours as I bought it as a working pulled runner on eBay.
I thought an oil analysis might give me some useful insight as to its internal health?
Can anyone recommend a lab?
I tried Miller oils following a suggestion elsewhere, emailing them but their response was less than helpful, telling me to "pick the relevant one from their website" , when it's not at all obvious where a marine engine fits in their categories.
So unless they're brilliant and worth persisting with, they can naff orf and I'll go elsewhere - hence seeking recommendations. Many thanks.
