i just bought a new PC to replace my 12 y/o "gaming" computer
came "preinstalled" with windoze 11 which seemed to want my entire life history, a DNA sample, the sacrifice of my first born, and a sworn statement from 3 elder gods before it would register.
so i wiped the lot, and installed Linux - endeavourOS specifically.
I this morning managed to install and run fusion360 on it - perfectly
this was the last program which i had struggled with running in the past, and the only reason i still used windoze at all.
for reference, if anyone wants to do the same:
i used "lutris.net" 's "testing version" installer (just search for "fusion 360" on their site
I used "lutris" (which is a simple "front-end" to run/customise windows apps if neccesary) with the "lutris ge proton8-15" backend
this is on an Intel 13400 with a rtx4060 gpu
(800 quid from argos)
oh. It also plays starfield, and baldurs gate
