Just my two cents worth. I have about an acre, of which 2/3 is grass. When we bought the place the previous owner wanted to sell one of his two mowers, we bought the cheaper one, an older Huskvarna 1842 tractor. It isn't that quick 8k/hr max speed reverse is half that. We have had it 6 years and I have fitted one spindle, changed the oil and oil filter several times and only last week finally changed the battery. Don't know how long the battery was in it before I bought it. It has been a fantastic machine, starts, runs, cuts grass, the kids mow grass with it and even the 'events coordinator likes it. It's run time to mow the grass is about 2.5 hrs each time and the grass need mowing on average one a week, so not so many hours over a year. I would like something bigger and faster but that would cost me over 7 time what this did. So I move on and don't complain. Oh by the way it has a kawasaki engine in it
