Hi all
I have these tubes onto which I want to tack some rings. There does not need to be a weld all the way around so just tacked on at various place.
Would I
1) Keep the rings completely flush with the tube
2) Drop the ring by a 1mm or 2
3) If option 1, would I chamfer the tube slightly ?
4) Filler rod or just try get a pool from both halves.
5) Pay an expert to do it for me
Naturally all parts clean as a whistle and IPA cleaned
The rings I am making to be a super snug fit around the tubes
Ive also got the rings to tack onto some domes.
Material is 1.5mm
tubes are 100mm diameter
What angle should I attack, straight from above over the seam ? or angled from middle of tube inwards ?
Lots of questions, sorry. Obviously want to have the best stab at it from the off !
Ta all
