Hi everyone, brand spanking new member. ive been reading lots the past few days on this site and im almost convinced im going to buy a Clarke 160 mig welder but im not sure if i should buy the 160EN or 160TM as im not sure of the difference. like i say, ive been reading loads but unfortunately im a little mixed up with different numbers and letters after the model numbers and what they actually mean. i would be most delighted if someone in the forum could create a "table" of most of the popular welders out there with their capabilities adjacent to their model numbers in boxes and hopefully a mark out of ten at the end of the table or a summary of what the welder is best at. i thought this may be a good idea as welders can be viewed at a glance and then a little further research to finally make up our own minds.
i was going for the clarke 160TM as it is £277.28 from "TMF" (Weldequip price £315) im hoping weldequip can match this price as i want to give him the business but the clarke 160EN is £249 inc postage from an ebay store. dont know which one of these two models is the better??? thank you all. hope someone can create a table for us "less experienced"!!!
