I believe you can never have too many. We have 15 in my warehouse and offices. A mix of water - CO2 and foam. I also have 6 at home.
When the Chubb engineer came he said he couldn't believe how many we had. I asked about other places and he said most B+M stores only have 2! A big Tesco about 8. And when you think of all the paints and WD40 etc they have on the shelves I wonder how they can get away with it.
Apparently the legal requirement is only 2 per floor! That is crazy for a big place.
As most of us on here are involved in welding and using angle grinders etc I wonder how many people bother with suitable extinguishers in their workshops?
I know the modern mantra is to just get out in the event of a fire but one extinguisher could have saved Grenfell. An old fireman once told me that most fires start very small.
