.To be honest I don't see it getting used that much at its top end, I am more than happy with the Phoenix 99.9% of the time.
Space is a premium for me so if I went with an old syncro or similar, or even the Eutectic/Fronius then I would really have to be looking at getting rid of the Phoenix 330 to make room.
One thing that did surprise me is the XTT353 is reportedly 60% duty cycle at the 350Amps, that could be Chinese duty cycles though
I thought the DigiTig actually had more features than the Parweld or certainly with respect to the wave forms etc. Those are probably things I wouldn't use though but I suppose you never know.I have an swp stealth digi mig, it is a quality machine. There was a stealth digi tig and and the paraweld both in highland industrial supplies together from what i remember while the digi tig dosent have as many features as the paraweld but the price difference there at least more than made up for it.
You mean DC- zep.dc + too

cant honestly remember i thought positive with a very large diameter tungsten -6 _8 mmYou mean DC- zep.
Dc + is heat in electrode and high amounts of cleaning/ low amount of penetration.cant honestly remember i thought positive with a very large diameter tungsten -6 _8 mm
havent done it personaly
have done loads of dc,_ of course and normaly + connection will fry a tungsten
but some where in my mind ive read about large od tungsten on posi with helium
the weld is much hotter wiith helium
Dc + is heat in electrode and high amounts of cleaning/ low amount of penetration.
Dc- is heat in job. Poor cleaning but deep penetration
If you want to get heat in the job
i have both types of machine transformer
and inverter AC/DC machines i like the old transformer better but i rarely use it now . because it draws so much current 2phase
merican set and ive only got 63amps per phase .the inverter runs off 240v and draws very little so its
easier and less noisy but i hate having to run it through menus to set up for a 2 minute job yes it has a memory facility but how often do you get a weld set up thats identical
its totaly alien at first being able to weld ac with a sharp tungsten
the oldy was a pretty upmarket thing in its day with pulse etc and i did a lot of aero spec work with it and cracked heads etc
to make it worse i can set up the mig now for heavy stuff
Rich, don't be silly, you know my locationHave you got a budget in mind for this
That’s more like it mate.
