Water is a great coolant due to its thermal capability.I find the aerolsol sprays boil quicker than my water based spray

A freebie is always good! But even at £20 for 5L's I didn't think it was dreadful!I just got a gallon given got it of a mate that was working for rigid who make threading machines for steel pipe

That was my thoughts in that it should last a good amount of time!it will go a long way as u don't need much . just a dab with oil can
Anything that cuts or drills metal is worth using cutting fluid.its worth putting a few dabs on hacksaw blades as well they cut faster with less friction and last twice as long
Paraffin is supposed to be pretty good but never used it - can't stand the smell.
the copydex factory used it sprayed on alumimium for cutting the sections up and punching the holes in the door strips . I still have a spray head I nicked when I was working there along with air fittingsParaffin is one of the older methods used on Ally and is very good. I used to use it a lot for milling buying 5 gallons a time. I still use occasionally if needed.
Thats on the to do list!!I made a simple gravity fed system, with a small bore metal pipe that is spring loaded and runs on the top of the bit, just under the chuck. The oil runs down the flutes right in to the cut.
Works really well. Uses very little oil.
