They were last certificated in 2015 but all cartridges have been removed so are purely masks nowHow old are the gas masks? I ask as some of the old ones contain asbestos within the filters which can escape into the air the wearer is breathing.

Rescued these from a school demolition job this week, they came out of the "Resistant materials" room, that's metal work to normal people.

Both look in good condition but need a good clean. Happy days!
Wish I could find a low voltage light like that. I'd love one for the lathe. I got a mini desk lamp for my grinder, took the springs off and the base and it works nicely, but wouldn't work on the lathe.
I wonder what happened to all the thousands of green or grey angle poise work lamps that every machine had?

Yuppies buy them from vintage shops that also sell Bisley filing cabinets as feature pieces, with a premium price tag on them. Remember, rust is patina and character!

Needless to say, they stayed in the shop....

I have a nice one in my old office, empty, unused, unloved.... I might have to move it to the workshop.... Thanks for the idea! Today I had a delivery of a wirless controlelr for some LED strip.... and 5 metres of LED strip happy me, landrover rear area is going to have a nice lit area that I can turn on while a distance away.Mrs GT sent me a message whilst out shopping the other day:

Day of today. Yes I know wright.
Well I bumbled and as I did I peeked into a skip. I know the builder who fills it.
In it was this Draper planer.
It works, speed controller knob is broken. 2 pack glue will sort that out.
The main damage is the blades are shot, new set on order.
Plus the depth of cut mechanism is seized, not looked at that yet.
Beer was on offer.
