Got myself a little project... I say little, its the exhaust manifold of my brothers yamaha, its gone to hell and is loud as hell... only a matter of time before a cop pulls him over for a loud bike. Tried patching it with some past but the holes were tricky to reach so we ended up pulling the manifold off.. Which we wanted to but the nuts holding it on needed some better tools for persuasion..
Anyways the pictures will tell you the rest...
I'm thinking of using the MIG, 0.8mm wire and CO2 shield. I'm going to attack the rest with a flap disk and use a weld thru zinc primer on the back of the new steel to reduce the chance of further corrosion from the inside out.
A new manifold is costing around £300 The bike is oldish and findig parts is rather tricky at times. Aftermarket products are not easy to come across.
