    Hi guys

I've got a question regarding to obtaining Welding procedure for work.

The story is I wanted to get a WPS (which includes welder's qualification coding) , but there was s problem with the paperwork for material. So I did successfully coding only as WPS required material designation info. (my mistake i should have just leave it and come another day)

Now to get WPS I need to go there again and do the 6g test again (pay again) as well as pay for the welding procedure. Basically I will be paying twice for the coding as WPS includes costs for test and welder's qualification.

Im just wondering, if I passed the test and have obtained the coding, then is it possible just to buy an approved WPS for my coding ? As far as I understand it is a range of specifications to follow to achieve required weld quality that is approved by authorize body.
So if I proved my welding skills by coding test, then why cant I just purchase an approved WPS to follow it without going and welding it again? I know that a coded welder can go and work from someones WPS.

    sorry fro many words :)
