Just a simple build, but I needed a bit more reach than I was able to get out of my existing tools for an upcoming turning project, and baulked at the cost of the commercial offerings.
The tips are are 8mm round carbide inserts (for aluminium), on silver steel bar. These then fit into 16mm EN8 shanks, and a 32mm round bar aluminium handle. Tbh I think the longest shank is a bit OTT, but had the stock so why not!
I may try and make the handle look a bit flasher (Plasti Dip?), but overall have been really pleased with how they've come out.
