Hi guys.
I'm new to welding so very inexperienced but enjoying testing welds with various settings etc. I'm working with 3mm mild steel sheet and box section at the moment and I'm having a problem with the wire sticking to the weld after I've taken my finger off the trigger. The way that I've been getting it of is with a quick press of the trigger whilst moving the gun back from the job. This seems to work but I'm sure I should not be having this problem in the first place. The last bit I did little spot welds but I had the same problem again - wire stuck to the weld.
I'm using a SIP 150 with Argon/CO2. Just thought, I'm also getting a fair bit of soot but after reading it seems this could be down to the gas flow so a flow meter is on order from Weldequip.
Cheers
Tony
