Hi All,
I have been a long time viewer of this great site and haven't had the knowledge what so ever to contribute due to being an absolute novice. I have gone from not being able to weld (even stick) to being able to weld thin metal (car panels) be it rough but it gets the job done. Thanks to this great forum.
A number of years ago I did purchase a no name (Fema) machine based on its ability to weld down to 25A and due to not knowing if I would use the machine much after I had worked on a classic car. It has worked a treat. Late last year, I had a issue where one of the wires had vibrated off the transformer due to being transported from one location to another. Having dismantled the machine and fixed the transformer issue, I accidentally through haste mixed up the connection of a couple of wires. While the wire feed worked initially with this mix up, I burnt the wire feeder motor out. It has sat like that until now where I would like to fix it.
I hope someone may be able to give me some suggestions of what feeder I should buy.
The machine has the following settings and Specs.
I have measured the voltages across the terminals with a mulimeter at different setting. Please see below.
Is there anyone who can recommend a wire feeder replacement? I can't find one online for this machine and while I am am it, it would be great to replace as I have read much on this site that these feeders commonly found in SIP's can cause spasmodic wire feed problems. The other issue for me I am not convince on what voltage the motor runs at. I see there a 12v, 24v and 48v motors that migs run.
Any help would be more than appreciated.
Cheers
Rod
