I'm at the end of my tether with my MIG. Had a small SIP 105 MIG, realised it was basically underpowered and crap due to the torch and wire feed. Upgraded and bought a Siegen/ Sealy 150 with a larger torch, metal liner and what looked to be a better wire feed. Had some issues with leaky valves on the torch and Sealy have replaced the torch twice under warranty. I basically have new torch, new 0.8 contact tip, low tension on the reel, correct roller size (clean), reasonable tension on the drive wheel and yet still the set has problems maintaining a smooth wire feed. The liner has to almost be perfectly straight, so welding on the bench with the natural droop of the liner and a slightly cranked torch angle is causing it to pulse. What else can I do to sort this out bar upgrading again to a set with a Euro torch ?.
