Will this generator run my welder?

Hi guys I realize it wont at the moment but when the heads are back on do you think it will run my mig the pictures are of only one bank, it is a V16 with 1500 hp 1 mega watt on the rating plate and I am not sure if it will run it having only 1 Mwatt

As long as you don't try to run two machines at the same time Ie: welder and plasma you will probably be OK

Nice engine. I'm currently working on something about that size but it's only v8. At moment though it's only 6.5 ish

I think if you can get the diesel in fast enough you can run just about anything.... nice bit of kit is it yours ?

The one I'm working on is three polar electrical ship engines. Hv generators and air start. No photos I'm afraid mod site

that's a little over the top for a Clarke 90 wouldn't like the fuel bill for that

the wires are for the spark plug coil over units.
And no it is not mine, it is a 64 valve catapillar engine.

Yep, sort of natural gas, if you consider decaying matter from a land fill site natural, apparently they have some bigger ones, V20 3000 hp !!

Ah so what's up with it? Thought gas fuels were very kind to engines, or is it routine maintainance?

The exhaust valves have taken a battering possibly due to heat and total lack of additives in the fuel, and looks a little lean to me,--- or maybe its bits of old tin cans coming up with the gas from the tip.
