Righty, did a little project yesterday, a holder for a Nintendo Wii.
Work has a staff room with a huge plasma hung on the wall,
we also have a Wii for staff relaxation !
So rather than have to have a table next to the plasma, I decided we could make a bracket to hold it so it sits between the tv and the wall, hidden but accessible for loading games.
With only a rough idea in my head, I bought some flatbar and square rod from B&Q and grabbed the wifes Wii and headed into the garage . . .
Just made it up as I went along, and ended up with the attached pictures !
I just used a small clarke arc welder, as I could'nt be bothered getting the mig up and running (I've also not used the mig enough to tackle any 'project' yet !! )
The welding is not brilliant, but it does the job.
To finalise it I need to:
drill another mounting hole...
add more width to the upper 'shelf', which is supposed to hold games...
add hooks on the base for the controllers to hang from...
repaint it ...
After fitting I'll get pics of it in place....
