OK. If you have a fridge with no ice box or auto-defrost, how do you know when it needs defrosting, as presumably you cannot see the build up of ice behind the plastic wall?
They only need defrosting if you open the door. There is usually a drain that passes condensate down to a plate on top of the hot compressor to evaporate.
that reminds me...I think my fridge/freezer could do with defrosting.... I may need to shrink some bearings etc
