The pin hole at the end is caused by ending arc too fast. You have a slope down function that ramps down the current when releasing the trigger. Time is adjustable to fit whatever you're welding. Unfortunately, when using a remote current control on the 202 the slope functions are disabled. When you use a foot pedal there's no need for slope up and down but for a remote on the torch you want them. Disclaimer, this is valid for the XTI , the newer XTT might be different.
