Hello,
I have a few hobby projects that I have been putting off for some time simply because I have no welder, no experience and don't know anyone who welds. But I don't see why that should stop me!
Looking at past posts, there seems to be a consensus of sorts that Clarke's welders are a good way to go for 'on a budget beginners' like me. I want to learn to weld but I will never be doing anything other than little projects.
I am totally confused by the array of Clarke welders for sale though, and what makes one better, or more appropriate, than another.
I think a no gas/dual welder would be a good idea, but is no gas welding much harder? Obviously cheaper, so what's the downside?
I am looking at the MIG151EN, 130EN and 160EN, but would consider anything advised. The MIG151EN looks better than the 130EN looking at all the numbers, so why is the 130EN more expensive? What is better about it? What would the advantage of a 160EN be over the 130EN?
Grateful for any advice for someone who really needs help.
p.s. Does anyone know of evening courses for welding in East London?
Cheers,
Pablo
