Which carbide burrs

After a set for die grinder, never used them before. Should I take pot luck with one of the cheap £20-£40 sets or are the more expensive sets like Kennedy from Cromwell tools circa £100. Can anyone recommend a particular set? TIA

Can’t advise on type but if you’ve never used them before make sure you wear proper PPE, The shards from the cutting process are thin & very sharp, can easily pierce skin & should they get near your eyes, doesnt bear thinking about. A magnetic pick up tool (assuming its ferrous material) to collect the shards & pick up the shards is a good idea.

I've not tried cheap ones but I've been using the same two expensive ones (don't remember the make) for six or seven years, they last very well.

I’ll be mainly using to clean up welds on furniture that I can’t reach with grinding/flap discs.

The York abrasives ones from Cromwell are okay. Garryson aren't bad.

I use Pferd but they're what I would call a premium burr. You'd be looking at £20-30 a burr.

Old snap on were very good burrs. Not sure about new ones

I bought a cheap set from the bay of thieves, 6mm long shank. They have proved to be very good. I ported my Chrysler heads with them (cast iron).

Karnasch are excellent and actually not too expensive.

Apart from being German. However they are one of the few to make fine and extra fine cut burrs, I got a couple off Amazon very cheap.

Shop-apt burrs are generally cheapest and good.

I have chinese ones, nothing wrong with them.
I use a very old garryson 6mm ball nose cylinder double cut for most things. I had it since 2012, it has done a lot.

Good burs make a die grinder great ,, poor ones make you wonder why you ever bothered , pay attention to the speed too , if you run them slow they chip and too fast isnt great either . Or so I find.

Interesting, I’ll be using the Milwaukee 90 degree grinder. I think buy a cheap set then once I know which 1 or 2 I would use the most get them individually. They certainly chuck chips about but look to do good job.

I like the ones APT make, cheap and good. Customer service is excellent as well.
