what type rcbo?

Moving into my new house in a week, has a garage but the electrics need updating. Managed to get a wylex consumer with the rcbos I need, adding 2x 16a sockets for my portamig 185 and the other for a plasma I plan on getting. The 16a rcbo i have now i think are type b, have b16 on them, do i need type c? I have run the mig on max on 13a plug but not for extended periods and never tripped or blew a fuse? I had planned to try a b and if it trips when welding starts swap for a c which i read is slower to react?

I would need a parts catalogs to check but I'm not sure Wyler do rcbo in other than B

They do type c's which might be better for the welder.

I stand corrected it was MK I was thinking. D type would be best and as there RCD protection earth loop is not an issue

Could find as wylex type d. What's the chances of a b tripping? This is my first house and £ is extremely tight and these things seem expensive

Hard to say but my site 110v box has a full load current (flc) of 10A but it will trip 32B MCB on start up more often than not. It's perfect working condition with no faults.

Transformers take lot of power to get the magic smoke moving

Type c are £12 on eBay so might be worth it instead of trying them and possibly changing anyway.
