Hi all, complete novice here.
Last December I brought a 1977 Honda CB750 sohc that was a bit of a shed. The idea was to strip and rebuild the bike. I have old school mechanics knowledge so wanted to do the build all on my own. So I got hold of a Ryval(BOC) smootharc 175 inverter ŵelder so I could weld a new seat loop and other bits on to the bike.
I practiced stick and my lines are getting pretty good, but I need to weld 1.5mm tube and the stick is too powerful so want to tig it, herein lies the problem. The welder has a two pin plug on the front and the diagram on the PDFs I found shows the Torch connecting up to the welder along with the gas and also a cable coming off the cable and going into the the two pin socket.
I've rang a couple of traders and have been told they don't know what I'm on about and that it's probably a scratch start.
Can anyone tell me what tig torch I need to get. Any other info will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Steve.
