I need some help identifying this odd tool.
Here it is, as I got it.
Now after I have cleaned it up I think that picture shows it upside down.
Here it is cleaned up. The two pointed bits clearly have a ground edge and a cutting edge put on them. 20 and 30 Deg. respectively. With those angles I am guessing at a wood working tool.
The handle is nor original.
The parts all laid out.
At one Tool shop I visit told me it may be a "Groove cutter". But could give me no further details. I can see how that may be. But I have tried it and it is a difficult tool to use.
I guess it can be used in both directions, push and pull.
Any help will be gratefully received.
