I have read on many forum posts people referring to cleaning the weld up with "the tool" and really am not sure what they are referring to (angle grinder?)?
They'll mean a general purpose tool. I'm guessing a hammer - if they are talking about arc welding then they'll be tapping away to remove the slag from the weld. Screwdriver at a push - but you'd need a hammer to operate a screwdriver effectively (unless you have screws to undo - but how often does that happen?).
An angle grinder has limited uses compared to a hammer, so could hardly be considered THE tool. Still a lot of fun though.
How much is that beastie? All I can see on fleabay (most of the spare cash we have is in PayPal, so I get most of my toys there) are 12v battery ones, or cordless ones, or air. My team leader at work would doubtless take a dim view of me liberating his from work.
It`s a Sealey one MNG. About £140 as I recall. It knocks off the 33inch wheels on Patrol a treat. Also on Trafic and on wife and daughters cars. It`s saved my bacon with flywheel nuts and a few other things too Got it here http://www.ccw-tools.com/
Would like to know who makes it as Sealey don`t make tools as we know........I think it is Swedish
