hi to all.
I'm rick, new to welding and about to attempt the impossible and fix my beloved campervan with the help of few skilled family an friends.
just got married and before kids come along and bleed me dry got myself a new hobby.
Weldequips gonna sort me the clark 160te and few goodies. prob gonna buy a makita grinder cos read good reviews. theres one for fortyish in case which is always useful.
got budget of five hundred to buy all i need to begin. took a lot of begging and pleading to get even that much.
budgeting a ton on the grinder and accessories, an four on welder, auto helmet and safety gear. hope its achievable, appreciate any suggestions in how i shopuld spend my meagre allowance
luckily got few friends here who have done this kind of work before. Got a lot of work to do, arches sills and some nasty damage on both rear corners.
This vans my pride an joy, lived in it for six months whilst driving on continent. it was totally original, had finally sorted out the engine, twin carbs racing piston and twin exhausts the whole package but totally original.
Then, when driving in frozen scotland 2 years ago, so cold the ice was on the inside....hadn't got round to sorting the heating. one momentary lapse and.
crash bang wallop. scrapped the near side on metal railings on the side the road. tore bumper of the back an made real mess.then left it sat for two years....
so thats me then, will keep scanning your pages and thanking you all in advice for your answers an patience over the coming years.
