From the tutorial pages. "There are many different torch techniques. My preference for thin metal is a curved zigzag movement.
Two sheets of metal are positioned ready to be seam welded. The weld starts by running the torch upwards just inboard of the edge of the first sheet. Next the torch is moved across the joint to the second sheet, and then
downwards and back across to the first sheet where the process is repeated.
At each crossing the wire is dipped into the bottom of the weld pool to keep it moving
Question: Would someone be able to explain the last line differently, and why you do this. If you are welding in a zig-zag pattern arent you making a weld pool as you go or do you lose it when you drop to the other level of sheet metal? Do they mean to just get closer with the tip when they say" the wire is dipped into the bottom of the weld pool" My wire disappears when it touches the weld pool. Where is the bottom of the weld pool?
Sorry for such stupid questions
