Hi all
I'm very new to MIG welding (and the forum) but I've been practising a fair bit and have run a few nice welds with both mild and stainless steel but I need a bit of advice.
I'm currently trying join sections of 304L and 316L 1.5mm walled stainless tube for an intercooler pipe run. The problem I'm having is that I'm getting too much penetration which is leaving blobs of weld on the inside of the tube which will upset the airflow.
I'm running the welder (Clarke 151TE) on it's lowest setting (min 1) and have turned the wire speed right down to 4 which did help but it's still going through. :?
Any ideas ?
Cheers
James
P.S.
Sorry for rambling on a bit ops:
