Planning on doing some floor welding for my old van, so spent the day practicing and was hoping for some experienced critique and advice on how to improve them.
Floor is thin sheet metal and its being covered by ply so I dont care to much about looks just want a solid weld.
Used 1mm sheet zintec (got it as scrap), 0.6mm wire, gys 162 smartmig, gas 93% arg, 5% co2 2& o2
I am planning on welding a patch of sheet little bit bigger than the hole, plug welding and then stitch welding the overlap, might not be able to weld the overlap on the underside will see.
Here are some pics of the front and back of my plug weld and stitch weld practice. Any critique and advice on how to improve this would be much appreciated thankyou.
