Hi all,
I need some help with holding the stud bolts on my car. I want to get something done to hold the stud bolts onto the metal to allow me to put the nuts on the battery tray to help to stop the battery tray to be move about and also to help to stop the two other stud bolts on my car to get snap due to poor road surface and bumps.
Here is the pictures:
Here is the stud screws that I got on my car:
And here is the stud bolt that I have got:
I have only got few choice which is the MIG welder, stud welder, braze, solder or rivet. I have found that if I do the MIG welder, it will be too hot as it would melt the metal, ruined the ECU, sensors and other parts so I don't want that. My only way would be braze, solder or rivet. I am not too sure what I should use.
I am thinking about to go to the bodyshop garage to let them to do the job. If I get a garage to use braze, I want to know if braze is safe to use as they don't have a high voltage as long they are gas when I take the battery out?
If braze is the way forward, I want to know if the steel would be strong like welding rod?
Or do you think if solder or rivet is the best things for me to use?
Any advice would be much appreciate.
Thanks in advance.
