Hi,
I recently bought a car I found out needs welding work done to the chassis and sills replacing so i'm looking to buy a mig so I can do it myself. My only previous experience is with a very cheap £100 ish gasless welder I bought years ago (and also lent out years ago, although I could get it back).
After some research I was thinking about getting a Clarke 151en as it's at about the limit of my budget and gives me the option for both gas/ gasless.
My question is, would gasless be ok to use for the work I need, or would I need to go with gas? I have read that using the disposible bottles will become quite expensive, or would I be ok just buying a bunch to get me through the project? I dont really want to go renting a bottle as after i'm done with the car I cant see myself using it more than a few times a year for little things.
Thanks.
