Morning Chaps,
I'm looking to purchase my first welder, for rather a lot of car bodywork on a project i've taken on.
First off, i know absolutely nothing about welding, but i'm keen to learn.
With that in mind, simplicity is the key, i will be practicing until i'm good enough to have a crack at the welding that's required.
I won't need it for anything other than the bodywork on an old VW.
It has been mentioned on my project thread that a Clarke135 would be ideal if i could find one used, which is the bit i'm struggling with.
I'd rather buy something used if possible to save a fair chunk of cash, however i'm not adverse to paying new prices if it really comes down too it.
Is there any other makes/models i should be considering for simplicity/ease of use?
Thanks,
