Got a couple of big pieces of kit to install in the next couple of months. Have a static phase converter running a table saw, spindle moulder and 4 way tenoner in one workshop. Then there’s any they static running a pillar drill, pedestal grinder and a donkey saw in another workshop. Looking to power a surface grinder and a Bridgeport in another workshop, but this time around I need a neutral on the output circuit as there’s a transformer on one of the phases for lights and DRO. Is there a Neutral output on a VFD, or do I need to go down the Rotary converter route?
Yeah from the use of converters there must only be single phase power so run the VFD from single phase and power the DRO and light from the same single phase supply. That's what I do on my Hardinge lathe.
Err yeh, that’s how I thought of doing it, moments after posting Honest Having a slow day, been fault finding on a Mitsubishi 4x4 system all day..
