I finally got a chance to look at the rapidor I bought from @Tangledfeet some time ago and have decided I'd like to convert it to single phase because It's going to cost about the same as all the bits and bobs to hook it up to my 3 phase and there will come a time I no longer have 3 phase, I wanted to keep it reasonably portable too so being able to run it from a 13amp plug or commando plug would be ideal.
Sadly it's not the type with a motor and reduction pulley setup, the motor has a reduction gearbox so changing the motor comes with the hassle of fabricating a reduction pulley setup so I think VFD is the ideal solution.
I don't want to spend a huge amount here so I'm firmly in the Chinese VFD category which I'm fine with, the market is flooded with these things, some better than others, so I'm after some advice on which to buy, or are they all much of a muchness?
The motor is a 1hp (750w). Budget is about £100 but ideally that includeas any other bits and bobs to get up and running.
This "brand" seems to be one of the more popular ones on eBay..
