After some opinions please:
I have the option of getting a 4-5 year old lightly used Lincoln V160TP with no warranty. For about £200 more I could get a good chinese machine with a 2/3 or 5 year warranty.
I know Lincoln are a good brand and made for industrial use, however I have read that the inverter models have a problem with the 110/230v switching relay that gets stuck at 110v and then fries the PCB.
I dont know if this is a problem i should worry about or if its false information. Has anyone else heard of this and should i take the better older more rugged machine over the more hobbiest chinese type ?
I don't expect to be upgrading anytime soon, don't need an AC machine and just want a machine to crack on and learn the art of TIG welding.
