Collected this EBay purchase over the weekend from Diss in Norfolk, seller listed it with an intermittent starter switch problem...
Today I sprayed the grinder with TFR, then left it to soak, steam cleaned it, scraped all the old grinding dust out of the base cabinet and sprayed the starter switch assembly with loads of electrical cleaner. Then left it again for a couple of hours fitted a new cable and plug and tried it.
Spun up first time added some grease to the bearings, sounds good for a machine build in 1945 according to the serial number....
And all for silly money....
Before and after pictures, I'm not going to paint this one, just use it.
