Not sure if this belongs here but these do fit to a demolition spec excavator.

Please feel free to move if needed

I repair and refurb equipment for a demolition company and this set of jaws came my way after being on the job at least 12 months longer than they should have. My client is super busy though and as such they were needed on some big projects. That doesn't forgive the lack of maintenance it has received as even when i was employed he could have used another mobile welder!

A number of bolt on teeth were missing and those that were left did not even resemble what they should have looked like!

The front of the upper and lower jaws started life with a flat nose with Hardox welded on but these had well worn away giving the shape of a rounded front end.

This started out as an onsite mobile repair but due to the weather and the amount of work i realised i had to do i took it back to the workshop (I am currently renting space off a client of mine). These weigh in at 1.87 tons and every kg was felt on the back of my 16 foot Ifor!

Any way, almost two 15kg reels of 1.2mm wire later, 20mm Hardox wear bar, new Hardox 450 teeth profiled and a heck of a lot of hard facing we are back to where it should be albeit the ends of the jaws are not exactly like a new one but is more than adequate for its next project.

Certainly is but look at the size difference in the shears I’ve got to work on next week (the munching jaws are on the floor just to the left)!!

Some wear bar has broken away and the blades need turning which will mean some building up with weld will be needed too

    pics to follow....

    Nice work!
I love watching those nibblers crunching away an old building. I remember the one at Wembley taking down the old stadium, that was meant to be the biggest in Europe I think! Mahoosive!

There some monster attachments out there. My client has the UK’s largest Lehnhoff collection and they are all impressive
