What are you thinking of it for mainly Hugh? I guess that'll help to decide if it's suitable. As it's a Fronius it's not gonna be a dog but may not do all you want it for?
Not sure about cels but the 1400 Mv was a little gem of a unit. I'd run 2.5 7018's off it all day long from 110v supply. It used to get dragged around cement works, dropped, and suck in alsorts of dust yet keep on welding. It would be my number 1 choice if I got back into that sort of stuff again. Tbh I'm not that clued up on what happily sings with a 6010 as I don't think there is much about without spending ££££ on a top spec fronius.
It was able to deal with 4mm 7010 rods that just wouldnt run right on 400 amp 3 phase machines i had at the time, namely powcon 400 and thermal arc 400 mst.
you would have to see it to believe it.it has adjustable arc force also.and lift tig is sweet on it,the arc humms nicely
