need some gearbox oil for the Renault, book states tranself TRJ 75W80.

will standard 75w80 tranny oil work ok?

The answer is in the question really, 75w80 is the viscosity rating needed the TRJ is probably just a manufacturers specific code.

thought so. Have needed to top it up for a while to be honest, there was work done on it notlong before i bought it and i noticed a leak from a bolt that wasn't as tight as should be. Nothing major but a leak none the less
