Hi Guys.
I bought a "bargain" on fleabay a couple of weeks ago. Didn't get a chance to check it til today and there's no gas coming out. I'm using a half size BOC bottle with plenty in it. Can someone point out where I should start looking? The valve solenoid thingy isn't clicking at all and there's only two wires coming from it and both going to the big square plate thingies. The top spade of the three has no wire to it. Is this normal?

Have you tried measuring the voltage at the gas solenoid? there should be info on the valve saying what voltage it needs. Most are low voltage but some are mains so the normal risks about working with mains voltage applies

The top spade of the three has no wire to it. Is this normal?

That's the earth connection, normally unused.
