Does anyone else go with the express intent of buying great tools for peanuts??
I've bought everything from anvils to lathes from my local bootsales!!
Some 'Prizes' i've brought home with me!
It's a bit lucky how I got this, The fella and his wife had an old electric sewing machine, I was looking at the motor to power a very small Flexispeed 7 lathe, He asked what I wanted it for, I told him to power a lathe!!
He said he had a Unimat at home and would have brought it but thought it wouldn't sell for what he wanted for it! (£65), I went to his and bought it in the afternoon!
It's only ever been assembled then stripped and put back in the boxes! (It makes in to about six different machines!).
Gave a tenner for this planer off an old fella, I thought it would be a non runner but it's fine!!
This mitre saw was a fiver but the handle had been broken and repaired well..
Gave a fiver for the Atlas Copco 110v 4.5" grinder off a OK Yah lady in riding gear!!
A tenner for the box full
A load of stuff!
Can't remember what I paid for the combination set but it was Cheeeep!! (Imperial onlyy though!)
Tig inverter for £25
These all came with it!
There isn't a full setup for tig so I tried it with stick welding, Already had the stuff for mma.
There's so much other stuff that I can't get in my garage for it all!!
Anyone else frequent the bootsales?
John
