We sort of 1st attempts, I did have a little go a few months back but this is the 1st serious attempt at aluminium
Its all 5mm plate, T joint, between 180 and 200A with 3.2mm filler wire, pictures are in order of progress. Did 10 runs in total as ran the TIG torch down both sides allowing it to cool between runs
Have been having a go at TIG welding steel for the last few months so getting used to not dipping the tungsten but still managed to dip it probably 2 or 3 times
Would be nice to have some critical comments as to what you can see, have more practice lined up next week
